Newborn Nephew Henry & Big Sis Lorelei
My new little nephew was welcomed into the world by Ryan and Amanda on June 23rd in Owensboro, Kentucky. (8th Generation Kentuckian) He was a sweet little bundle of baby cuteness at 7lbs and 9oz with a full head of hair. Tim and I got to spend some quality time with his big sister Lorelei while the rest of the gang was in the hospital. I loved playing in the pool with Lorelei (and the Elmo that tagged along). Enjoy this cuteness.

Megan & David║Indianapolis Engagement
Tim's brother and fiance Megan were in town for our Gallery grand opening. The next day we got to spend a little more time together and do a mini session around Broad Ripple (it was so chilly that Saturday). These lovebirds are counting down the days until they wed, July 3rd! Clearly, Tim and I are so excited for you both.

Jacob║Senior Columbus East
My cousin Jake as well as my cousin Adam are both graduating from Columbus East this year. Jacob came up to Broad Ripple for an afternoon of senior pictures. Jacob has had a pretty exciting senior year, including a trip to perform at Carnige Hall! He's been busy with show choir and working on his video senior project. He is getting ready to start college in the fall at Ball State. I enjoyed the time to hang out one on one. (having a large extended family is great but makes one on one time a treat at family gatherings) Best of luck on your journey ahead Jake!

King Family Photo Day!
As a photographer, sometimes your own family gets neglected in getting updated pictures. Well, since I was doing a session with Tim's brother and fiance, I thought it was also a great opportunity to get some updated shots of the whole family. Tim's parents, Ralph and Pam, had their engagement pictures taken at the IMA and it seemed appropriate to do some updated versions. I even had David snap a few of Tim and I. (the pictures we do have together are few and mostly taken by the classic "get together hold out your hand and hope for the best" method) So here' my encouragement for my photog friends out there, take time to take pictures of you and your own clan. (or if you pre-plan, swap with another photographer) We know how priceless pictures are, yet they tend to get put on the back burner of our to-do list.

Clark Family : Summers at the Lake
On my weekend of fun with Kiera to shoot Kirsten and Drew's wedding in Michigan, we split up the trip by staying Friday night with her college friends. It was fun to get a little taste of "lake life". In the morning we had a photo shoot around their lakehouse where they spend a lot of time in the summer. Their son Milo, has a cousin Maggie who is very close in age and I'm sure will some day look back at these images and remember all the fun they had together at the lake in the summers. What a great thing to have such precious time together as a family.
